Here are some videos that I shot of the wet and wintry conditions today. I was going to edit all these together with text descriptions in the video, but my editing software is not working due to no sound on my laptop which is the only computer I can load the videos on at this time.
Heavy rain the yesterday caused high water levels in creeks and rivers. A flood advisory was issued for the Coal River in the town of Tornado. This is video of the Kanawha River. Note the submerged trees indicating how far the water line has come up.
This was taken when it first started snowing. I didn't think any of it would show up but apparently it did.
This is video I shot going across the Chuck Yeager Bridge. Again, the Kanawha River's water level is pretty high from heavy rain that occurred the day before.
More Video of the light to moderate snow fall/sleet in the area today. It came in spurts. It was raining one minute and snowing the other.
Here we are going over the Chuck Yeager Bridge again, only this time it was sleeting and then started to snow pretty good.
A short clip of it snowing in Kanawha City today.
Snow fall in Charleston at the Kanawha Blvd. near the Capital.
Wet and wintry conditions driving down the Kanawha Turnpike.
